I think it is essential to encourage students to read books, as it helps them to acquire deeper knowledge and enhances their intellectual development. Just as physical exercise is necessary for a healthy body, in a similar way, reading is imperative for the intellectual growth of students. Unfortunately, book prices have risen to such an extent that many people can no longer afford them and this also contributes to the decline of print culture. The lack of public libraries also makes it difficult to promote reading. Books should also be made available at discounted prices, especially for students, to make them more accessible. It is also pivotal for the government to establish more public libraries in both urban and rural areas.
