My recent visit to Gujrat city, the headquarters of the district of the same name, revealed the visible neglect it is suffering from. The city’s roads are broken, with numerous bumps and pits, making driving extremely difficult. In contrast, roads in nearby cities like Gujranwala and Jhelum are well-constructed and well-connected.
Most official parks in Gujrat are also not being properly maintained. I, therefore, urge the local administration to address these issues and resolve them promptly so that this historic city can attain the status it truly deserves.
