Rawalpindi: A seven-year-old girl, was found murdered in an under-construction building in the Mandra area near Rawalpindi. Police said the child had been kidnapped, sexually assaulted, and killed.
According to initial reports, the victim went missing while playing outside her home. Mandra police launched a search operation and, during the investigation, detained the girl’s maternal uncle on suspicion. Under intense questioning, the suspect confessed to the unspeakable crime, leading the police to the location where he had concealed the young girl's body in the unfinished structure. A case was registered on the complaint of the girl’s father, under kidnapping, rape, and murder sections.
The following day, while being transported to court, the accused was shot dead by unidentified assailants who opened fire on the police vehicle and fled. The body was shifted to the hospital for a post-mortem. Police have initiated a separate investigation to identify and apprehend the individuals responsible for this audacious act of violence.
