Aussies level Women T20 Blind Series against Pakistan

LAHORE: Australia women defeated Pakistan by 28 runs in the third T20 of their ongoing bilateral blind cricket series at Wally Tate Park in Australia. The win levels the four-match series at 1-1.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to field, but Australia put on a strong batting display, reaching a formidable 195 for the loss of just two wickets in their 20 overs. The standout performer for the home side was C Lewis, who scored an unbeaten century, amassing 109 runs off 71 deliveries. C Buakhao provided valuable support with 28 runs from 30 balls. Kiran Rafique was the lone wicket-taker for Pakistan Women, claiming one scalp. In response, Pakistan fought hard but ultimately fell short, scoring 167 runs for the loss of six wickets in their 20 overs. Mehreen Ali top-scored for Pakistan with 37 runs off 45 balls, while Rimsha Shabir contributed 18 runs from 19 deliveries. The Australian bowlers proved effective, with A Hart taking two wickets, and B Fuller and C Webeck each picking up one wicket.

C. Lewis of Australia was named Player of the Match for her outstanding century. The fourth and final T20 of the series will now be crucial in determining the overall winners.
