QUETTA: A tragic traffic accident occurred on the Makran Coastal Highway, where 4 people died at the scene and 4 others were critically injured.
Among the deceased, three were from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and one was from Panjgur, Balochistan. According to details, accident occurred in the limits of Lasbela district on the Makran Coastal Highway, where speeding and negligence led to a fatal accident. The dangerous collision between a truck and a car occurred near Sept, within the sub-tehsil of Lyari, resulting in 4 lives lost and 4 people seriously injured. Upon receiving information about the accident, rescue teams arrived at the scene and immediately carried out rescue operations. The bodies and injured were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital Uthal on rescue ambulances. The doctors confirmed the deaths and provided immediate medical aid to the injured. The deceased have been identified as Shoqat S/o Shawaz Khan (resident of Malakand, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), Sudheer Ahmed S/o Shafi (resident of Panjgur, Balochistan), Waheed Rehman S/o Dost Muhammad, and Zia Rehman S/o Noor Waris Khan (residents of Timergara, Lower Dir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa). The injured, identified as Ziarat Khan, Hamza, Suleman, and Ihsan Ullah, are all from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and have been referred to Karachi for further treatment after receiving initial medical aid. Following the accident, rescue and law enforcement teams arrived at the scene, collected evidence, and started an investigation. Initial reports suggest the incident was caused by speeding and possible negligence. The collision between the car and the fast-moving truck was so severe that the vehicle was completely destroyed, and many people died at the scene. The bodies of the deceased were transferred to their native areas after completing the necessary legal formalities.
