LAHORE: Saifullah Kasuri, Secretary General of Pakistan Markazi Muslim League, has expressed deep concern over the recent tragic incident involving tourists in Pahalgam, Indian-occupied Kashmir, strongly condemning the loss of innocent lives.

In a statement, Kasuri said that India has a history of linking the legitimate Kashmiri struggle for the right to self-determination with terrorism. He noted that the latest incident appears to be yet another attempt by Indian media to launch a propaganda campaign against Pakistan, which he believes is part of India’s broader conspiracy to undermine the ongoing Kashmiri freedom movement.

Kasuri accused India of not only gross human rights violations in occupied Kashmir but also of promoting terrorism and instability across the region. He cited the arrest of Kulbhushan Jadhav from Pakistan as clear evidence of India’s involvement in cross-border terrorism. He also referenced recent global exposures of Indian conspiracies in countries like Canada, highlighting India’s growing international notoriety.

The Secretary General further stated that as a peaceful citizen and representative of a democratic political party, he categorically rejects the baseless and absurd propaganda being circulated by Indian media about him.

“I strongly condemn all Indian conspiracies and the global loss of innocent human lives caused by such actions. The Government of Pakistan must respond to India’s baseless accusations against a political party official and expose India’s sinister policies at the international level,” he said.
