Rawalpindi:Pharma traders have announced its support for a one-day nationwide strike in all business centres and markets across the country against Zionist atrocities and terrorism in Palestine.
To avoid difficulties of patients and the public, pharmacies in front of hospitals and the procurement of life-saving medicines, chain pharmacies and chemists’ business centres will be closed until the 12 noon, says a press release.
These decisions were announced in a meeting chaired by the Central Liaison Office at The Mall Road Chairman of Pakistan Chemists and Druggists Association Pakistan through video link.
The PCDA meeting was attended by Group Leaders Salahuddin Sheikh, Ghulam Hashim Noorani from Karachi, Zahid Bakhtawari, Basit Abbasi, Arshad Awan, Chaudhry Imran Rashid from Punjab, Tariq Mahmood from Attock and Sirajuddin from Peshawar and other provincial chairmen and Chairman Mehboob Ahmed and Vice President Sheikh Talat Mahmood of China Pharmacies Association Pakistan.
According to the decision taken in the meeting, the Pakistan Chemists and Druggists Association stands shoulder to shoulder with the country’s business community in today’s strike. Addressing the meeting, Zahid Bakhtawari announced full support for the historic strike across the country today and said that this strike will be a means of organising a nationwide campaign to boycott Zionist products and an important milestone for ending the siege of Gaza and Israeli barbarity and atrocities, as well as waking up the rulers of the Muslim world from their slumber.
