QUETTA: The spokesperson for Quetta Electric Supply Company (Qesco) has stated that Iran has reduced the electricity quota supplied to the Makran Division.
In a statement, he said currently, only 20MW of electricity is being received through the 132kV Polan-Jiwani transmission line, which supplies power to Jiwani, Gwadar II, Rehwar Industrial, Deep Sea Port, New Gwadar International Airport, Pasni, and Ormara grid stations. Similarly, only 7 megawatts of electricity is being received through the 132kV Pishin-Mand transmission line, which supplies power to only the Mand and Tump grid stations. Additionally, 53MW of electricity are being supplied from grid stations at Panjgur, Hoshab, Turbat, and 220kV Industrial Grid Station. He said due to the reduction in the electricity quota through the 132kV Polan-Jiwani and 132kV Pishin-Mand transmission lines, additional load management is being carried out in the affected areas of the Makran Division.
