Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Development Authority’s (RDA) Enforcement Squad has carried out an operation against 20 illegal commercial properties on Girja Road, in compliance with RDA’s commitment to enforcing building regulations, says a press release.
The action was taken in accordance with the Punjab Development of Cities Act 1976 and the RDA Building and Zoning Regulations 2020, which the property owners had violated by constructing buildings without obtaining the necessary approvals and No Objection Certificates (NOCs). An RDA spokesperson said that prior legal notices had been issued to the owners of these illegal commercial properties. However, due to non-compliance, the properties were sealed as part of the enforcement operation.
