LAHORE:Punjab Police has released Rs2.618 million for the medical treatment of its personnel and their families, a spokesperson said Sunday.
The allocation includes Rs1 million for the late Constable Khalid Mehmood’s widow’s brain tumour treatment and Rs225,000 for cancer care for Inspector Khalid Imran’s wife. Grants of Rs200,000 each were given to three officers, while several others, including retired and serving staff, received smaller amounts ranging from Rs100,000 to Rs293,000.
