karachi: An event titled "Yaum-e-Tashakkur" was observed at the Sindh Governor House on Tuesday evening to celebrate the exceptional performance by Pakistan’s armed forces in the recent military clashes with India.
Musical bands from the Pakistan Army, Navy, and Air Force presented a guard of honour on the occasion. Governor Kamran Khan Tessori, along with the members of the National and Sindh assemblies, cut a cake to celebrate Pakistan's military victory against India. Fireworks displays and presentations of national songs were also part of the celebrations. Founder Saylani Welfare International Trust Maulana Bashir Farooqi prayed for the integrity and solidarity of Pakistan and the success of its valiant armed forces. Representatives of Christian, Hindu, and Sikh communities also took part in the celebrations and formed a virtual chain by joining their hands as a show of solidarity.
Speaking on the occasion, the governor said Pakistan's defence had become impregnable for the enemy owing to the outstanding performance of the Pakistani armed forces. He said Pakistan was a secure state because of its armed forces.
He said the community of expatriate Pakistanis had also been celebrating the bravery and courage shown by the Pakistani armed forces in their fight against India.
