ISLAMABAD: A district and sessions court has acquitted Sher Afzal Marwat in a case of alleged torture on Senator Afnanullah.
The written decision of the case, issued by Judicial Magistrate Yasir Mahmood Chaudhry, stated that no criminal material was recovered from Sher Afzal Marwat during investigation.
It further stated that plaintiff did not appear in court, which shows his lack of interest in the case, adding that even if the case is tried, there is no possibility of punishment for the accused.
The court approved Marwat’s acquittal application. The case was registered against Marwat at Aabpara Police Station.
