Modi’s anti-Pak policies condemned

LAHORE: A dignified ceremony was held Friday under the chairmanship of Provincial Law Minister Malik Sohaib Bharth in connection with Youm-e-Tashakkur, during which special prayers were offered for the martyrs who laid down their lives for the motherland.

Prayers were also offered for the elevation of ranks of the brave soldiers and citizens. On this occasion, the minister paid tribute to the Pakistan armed forces and said this is a day of prostration and gratitude before Allah, who granted us a remarkable victory against the enemy. He said Pakistan’s stature has risen on global stage due to national unity and a strong response to aggression. He rejected the anti-Pakistan policies of Indian PM Narendra Modi and said the patriotism of the Pakistanis is unmatched.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan’s working class representatives, in a meeting, vowed unwavering support to the armed forces for the country’s defence against Indian attacks. They condemned India’s missile and drone strikes that martyred innocent civilians, including children. They hailed the successful strikes of Pakistan Air Force’s on ten enemy targets, leading to the Indian military's retreat.

Besides, another ceremony was held at the office of the Director General Social Welfare Punjab. The event was graced by Provincial Minister for Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mal, Sohail Shaukat Butt, as the chief guest. DG Social Welfare Tariq Qureshi, officers, and staff of the department were also present.

In his address, the minister said that Youm-e-Tashakur is a day to honour all national heroes who have sacrificed their lives for the defence of Pakistan. ‘We are thankful to our leader Nawaz Sharif, who made Pakistan a nuclear power and turned it into an invincible nation. Today, Pakistan stands strong, sovereign, and secure,’ he stated. He paid glowing tribute to the martyrs of the armed forces.
