LAHORE:A woman under custody in a theft case escaped from General Hospital Lahore on Monday. Saika had been imprisoned at Kot Lakhpat Jail and was brought to the hospital by a lady constable for a medical examination. However, during the registration process for a medical slip inside the hospital, the accused managed to flee. Reportedly, Saika escaped when the constable was occupied with paperwork at the hospital counter. A formal inquiry into the incident has also been initiated.
Two brothers injured over minor issue
Two brothers were inflicted knife injuries in a minor altercation between neighbours in the Shadbagh locality on Monday. M Amin and his brother Muhammad Junaid tried to mediate a dispute, but the situation went out of their control and four assailants attacked them with knives. They were taken to Mayo Hospital where the doctors confirmed that they were out of danger. A case was registered against the accused.
Woman attempts suicide
A 44-year-old woman of Manga Mandi attempted suicide by consuming acid over a domestic dispute with her husband. Naziran Bibi exchanged harsh words with her husband and drank acid and after which she was rushed to Jinnah Hospital.
