PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur did not attend the ceremony where Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir was officially elevated to the rank of field marshal.
His absence from the function was noticed widely. This prompted his spokesperson, Faraz Mughal, to issue a clarification.
“Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was attending a party meeting for the release of PTI founder Imran Khan,” said the spokesperson while giving the reason that caused the KP chief minister to skip the function. The other three chief ministers attended the event.
