Tribal dispute claims four lives

SUKKUR: Four people were killed when their car was attacked by suspected motorcyclists near the Shikarpur-Larkana, Indus Highway Toll Plaza, here on Thursday.

The three men along with the taxi driver were returning to their village from a hearing in Shikarpur Sessions Court when the incident occurred. The deceased were identified as two brothers: Noor Mohammad, Niazmuddin and their newphew Adam along with the taxi driver Rasool Bux Marfani. A heavy police force reached the site of the incident and intitiated investigations. The mother of the victims Mst Habiban Sundrani accused Wahid Bakhsh, Nadir, Bhoro and some other people of the Brohi community for the murders. The Brohi-Sundaran dispute was apparently settled through a jirga a few months ago. SSP Shikarpur Shahzeb Chachar while ordering the arrests has sought a detailed investigation report from DSP City and DSP Gharhi Yasin. Special teams have been formed to arrest the accused, while blockades, search operations and raids are ongoing to arrest them.
