ISLAMABAD: Chairman of the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII), Dr. Raghib Hussain Naeemi has said that the decree issued by Dr. Sarfraz Naeemi Shaheed against suicide attacks and killilng of personnel of armed forces, administrative officials and the general public is of utmost importance for the elimination of Khwarij.
Dr. Raghib Naeemi said that Dr. Sarfraz Naeemi along with his four spiritual sons, was martyred in a suicide attack at Jamia Naeemia in Lahore on June 12, 2009, for issuing a decree (Fatwa), declaring suicide attacks and killing of personnel of armed forces and general public as against Shariat. “The martyrdom of Dr. Sarfraz Naeemi gave an impetus and supported actions of the government and state against terrorists,” Dr. Raghib Naeemi said.
The CII Chairman pointed out that Dr. Sarfraz Naeemi trained hundreds of students who are performing religious duties in and outside the country.
He said the Government of Pakistan also decorated Hilal-e-Shujaat and Sitara-e-Shujaat after his martyrdom.” Services of Dr. Sarfraz Naeemi Shaheed for Islam and Pakistan will always be remembered,” he said. The CII Chairman also offered Fateha for Dr. Sarfraz Naeemi Shaheed and officers and jawans of armed forces who sacrificed their lives for country’s security.
