Digital battle

Saturday, Jun 14, 2025

In recent years, tensions between India and Pakistan have extended beyond traditional political and military arenas and into the digital space. Social media platforms have increasingly become battlegrounds for narratives, where both state and non-state actors engage in efforts to shape public opinion, often through misinformation, trolling and coordinated propaganda campaigns.

Governments, civil society and tech platforms must act to curb this digital escalation. Encouraging media literacy and promoting responsible content sharing can help ensure that the internet serves as a space for dialogue and not division.
