PA condemns Israeli attack on Iran

LAHORE:Punjab Assembly on Friday unanimously condemned Israeli attack on Iran and press global community to play its role in barring Israel from committing aggression against Palestine and Iran by Israel.

The resolution moved by Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique demanded OIC, Security Council to convene the meeting of nations immediately to stop Israel from its aggressive design.

The resolution stated that Israel launched dozens of attacks against Iran in which nuclear scientists of Iran as well as generals, including Major General Muhammad Bagheri and Major Hussain Salami died.

The resolution also stated that Israel had committed serious war crimes and had brought the world to the brink of a world war. The resolution also condemned Israeli atrocities against innocent Palestinians, women and children of Gaza.

The resolution also demanded the global community to play its role in ending the prevailing crisis like it played in bringing ceasefire between India and Pakistan recently. It also prayed for the Iranian people who lost their lives as a result of Israeli attack. The resolution was passed unanimously by the House.

Meanwhile, Mumtaz Ali Chaang of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) through an adjournment motion raised the issue related to contaminated water being supplied to the people of Rahim Yar Khan. A member also suggested use of cow dung, animal waste for the production of gas.

The House also witnessed heated discussion between Chief Whip of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PMLN) Rana Muhammad Arshad and Opposition MPA Sardar Muhammad Ali Khan over wheat procurement issue. Later on, the session was adjourned until Monday after quorum was pointed out by Opposition and it was incomplete.
