LAHORE: The 3rd Tennis Lovers Junior National Tennis Championship 2022 was formally inaugurated here at the PLTA Courts on Tuesday.
The matches were played in the different age categories.
In the first round matches, the top seeds advanced to the next round.
In Boys U-18, Hamid israr beat Omer Shafique 6-0,6-0, Hamza Jawad beat Hanzala Anwar 6-1,6-2, Ali Jawad beat Husnain Ali 6-4,6-4, Zaeem Ghafoor beat Inam Qadir 6-1,6-2, Bilal Asim beat Arman Kamran 6-3,6-3, Asad Zaman beat Abdul Hanan Khan 6-4,6-2.
While in Boys U-16, Asad Zaman beat Shehreyar Anees 3-6,6-1,7-5. Ahtesham Humayun beat Zain Saeed 6-0,6-0, Bilal Asim beat Inam Qadir 6-0,6-0, Hamza Roman beat M.Sohaan Noor 6-1,6-2.
PLTA Secretary Rashid Malik (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz), who is also tournament organiser, inaugurated the event at the colorful opening ceremony, which was also attended by players, their families and tennis lovers.
