Sindh declares April 4 as public holiday

The Sindh government has declared a public holiday on April 4 to mark the death anniversary of former prime minister and Pakistan Peoples Party founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

A notification issued by the Sindh chief secretary read the provincial government had declared April 4, Thursday, as public holiday on the occasion of 45th martyrdom anniversary of former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto throughout the province for all offices, autonomous bodies, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under the administrative control of the provincial government except those engaged in essential services”. Meanwhile, the Sindh government has declared a public holiday for the Christian community only on April 1 on the occasion of Easter.
