LAHORE:The Punjab Poultry Traders Association has ended strike after holding negotiations with the administration. As the government assured the traders of resolving their problems, the association decided to end strike, said Tariq Javed, president of association. Moreover, broiler sellers will not be harassed. Punjab government will resolve broiler price dispute and end unnecessary fines.
Poultry traders on Wednesday went on strike for an indefinite period across Punjab due to which there was no supply of broiler chicken in the city and Tollinton Market and Broiler Mandi Badami Bagh were closed. Meanwhile, Chairman Broiler Seller Association Mazhar Ali said in a press conference, “We have been sandwiched between poultry farmers and administration for the past several days.”
