It seems as if the people of Karachi have been left at the mercy of dacoits and hard-core criminals whereas the law-enforcement agencies, funded by the taxpayers, have failed miserably when it comes to stopping crime.
The authorities must come up with a comprehensive plan/ strategy to combat the crime problem. For starters, no civilian should be allowed to carry or possess firearms unless they are in law enforcement. Stopping the flow of illicit arms is therefore crucial to restoring law and order.
