During the month of Ramazan, a time of reflection, compassion, and solidarity, many Pakistanis found themselves left with a profound sense of sadness and indignation at the Israeli war on Gaza, which shows no signs of ending. The international community’s failure to effectively address the atrocities unfolding in Palestine has led to an extreme disbelief in the capability of existing structures to champion justice and protect the rights of all. Calls for a more assertive and independent approach to addressing the concerns of Muslim-majority nations, including Pakistan, underscore the deep-seated frustration and disillusionment with the status quo. Whether through diplomatic channels, grassroots activism, or regional cooperation, Pakistanis continue to seek avenues to assert their voices and advocate for a more just and equitable world order.
