DIR: Unidentified persons attacked with a hand grenade the house of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member Provincial Assembly Muhammad Anwar Khan, police officials said Tuesday.

They said the residence of the MPA from PK-13, who is also the PTI district president, was attacked late at night.

The car parked outside the house was damaged in the attack but there was no human casualty.

The MPA was not at home at that time and had gone to the Sheringal time to attend a function. The lawmaker received information about the attack from his family members and rushed home.

The police, other officials and local people rushed to the scene soon after the incident, they added.

The police, the Counter-Terrorism Department, and other secret agencies collected evidence from the site.

Muhammad Anwar Khan said he had no enmity or rivalry with anyone.

“It is the responsibility of the government, police, and other relevant agencies to investigate the incident and bring the culprits to justice," he said.
