The River Gardens area of Islamabad has been dealing with a large population of stray dogs, endangering innocent lives. The CDA, which has made some appreciable efforts to control the stray dog population in the area, appears to be struggling to solve the problem on a permanent basis.
The stray dog population is still too large and those that are culled appear to be quickly replaced by other stray dogs moving in from adjacent areas. It is clear that more comprehensive measures are needed.
