The residents of Karachi continue to face frequent disruptions and low gas pressure, affecting daily activities such as cooking and heating. The gas supply is only available for a limited number of hours in the morning and evening, which is not enough to cater for daily needs. We have to rely only on electric heaters and stoves, which are not only expensive but also unreliable during power outages. It is imperative for policymakers and gas utility providers to prioritize infrastructure upgrades and maintenance to ensure a reliable and consistent gas supply.
I urge the gas authorities to take swift and decisive action to improve the gas supply situation in Karachi. By addressing this issue promptly, we can enhance the quality of life for residents and contribute to the economic prosperity of our city.
