ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Friday took a Nadra assistant director into custody after the special judge central cancelled his bail in a case related to the illegal issuance of identity cards to the Afghan citizens.
FIA officials told the court that the accused, Najibullah, was posted as assistant director at the Nadra’s Blue Area office. He issued identity cards to the Afghan citizens for Rs250,000 per person. After the completion of arguments, the court dismissed the bail application of the accused after which the FIA officials present outside the court arrested him.
According to the FIA officials, raids were being conducted to arrest the other accused involved in the case.
