Islamabad: An under-investigation inmate has died in custody of Tarnol police, Tuesday, police sources said.
The police claimed that the suspect was shifted to police station after obtaining physical remand from the court of law, adding that the accused got out of his cell and straightaway went up to the roof of the police station and jumped down. He was shifted to hospital in critical condition but he succumbed to his injuries. The people who witnessed the incident claimed that the inmate was thrown down from the roof and taken to hospital. The authorities, taking notice of the incident, constituted an inquiry team to unveil the reality.
