LAHORE: Commissioner Lahore Division Zaid bin Maqsood said that all departments should work collectively to make Lahore a livable city and to combat environmental challenges like smog. He said this while talking during visit to the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) office located in Johar Town on Friday.
During the visit, Commissioner Lahore was thoroughly briefed on the operational functions of the LDA, focusing on both ongoing and proposed development projects. Detailed discussions were held on various wings of the LDA, including housing, town planning, and metropolitan planning.
LDA DG emphasised the transformative journey of the LDA, aligning with the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. He highlighted the ongoing efforts to modernise operations, streamline record keeping, and transition towards a paperless organisation.
On this occasion, Commissioner Lahore commended the establishment of a one-window cell, emphasising its role in providing efficient services to citizens. He stressed on timely completion of ongoing development projects for the city's progress.
Later, Commissioner Lahore also visited the LDA One-Window Cell, where Tahir Farooq briefed about operations and ongoing reforms. Chief Engineers, Chief Metropolitan Planners, CTPs, ADGs and other key officers were also present in the meeting.
