LAKKI MARWAT: Six people were killed and another injured in an exchange of fire between two rival groups at a wedding ceremony at Agri Khanzadakhel village here, police officials said on Wednesday.
According to police there was a music programme arranged at a wedding at Agri Khanzadkhel village when two armed groups clashed on account of an enmity. Six people identified as Ihsan, Imran, Zahidullah, Uzair and two passers-by Ahmed and Faizan were killed while Zahid sustained injuries. Both the armed groups belonged to Ghaznikhel village.
Following the incident, the Rescue 1122 and police reached the spot and took the bodies and the injured to the District Headquarters Hospital, Lakki Marwat. The motive behind the incident was stated to be an enmity. The bodies were handed over to the families after autopsy. The police launched an investigation after registering the case.
