LAHORE:LDA Director General Tahir Farooq said that in light of the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, LDA will start development work in its katchi Abadis very soon.
He said this while presiding over a meeting about the Directorate of Katchi Abadis here on Friday. Additional DG Katchi Abadis Akbar Naqai gave a briefing about the issues of katchi Abadis in the meeting. In the meeting, the performance of the directorate was reviewed.
LDA DG said that street light, patchwork, parks and other facilities will be improved in LDA's Katchi Abadis. Effective steps will be taken to improve these abadis under the Sustainable Growth Model and better facilities will be provided to residents.
LDA DG directed the Additional DG to submit a report on the problems faced by the residents of the Katchi Abadis of LDA soon. In the light of the report, more steps will be ensured in LDA Katchi Abadis in a phased manner.
