LAHORE: Commissioner/ Chairman Lahore Board M Ali Randhawa has said that for transparency in the exams, 6,500 private invigilators have been completely excluded from the examination process while a reference against 4,500 supervisory staff who refused examination duty had been sent to the Secretary Higher Education Punjab.
Chairing a meeting on the performance of the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) here on Tuesday he said that 98pc new government examination staff had been appointed.
The chairman said that a reference against 4,500 supervisory staff who refused examination duty had been sent to the Secretary Higher Education Department (HED) Punjab while an inquiry had been started by suspending 8 officers and employees of the Lahore Board. He said that under disciplinary action, 12 officers and staff of Lahore Board of Education have been replaced from their seats. Randhawa said that in the future, no unrelated person would be able to enter the examination centres and scan cards would be issued before the exams to all the authorities who would check the exam centers in the future.
He also said that in future examination centres would be established only in government schools and colleges while centres would not be established in private institutions. He added CCTV cameras were being installed in all sensitive and hard area examination centers.
