Administrative shakeup in Punjab

LAHORE: The Punjab government has relieved Lahore Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa of his duties.

He has been directed to report to the Establishment Division in Islamabad for further posting as chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA).

Secretary Services Zaid Bin Maqsood has been transferred and appointed the new Lahore commissioner.

Additionally, the Punjab government has transferred 14 officers, including seven deputy commissioners (DCs).

According to a notification, Capt (retd) Aurangzeb Haider Khan has been transferred and appointed DC of Sargodha vice Shoaib Ali, who has been directed to report to the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) to attend a training course.

Ali Akbar, Deputy Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office, has replaced Deputy Commissioner of Bhakkar, Dr Noor Muhammad Awan, who has also been directed to report to the Services and General Administration Department.

Saima Ali, Chief of Section at the Planning and Development (P&D) Board, has been appointed Deputy Commissioner of Sahiwal against a vacant post.

Syedah Ramallah Ali, Additional Secretary at the Governor’s Office, has been transferred and appointed Deputy Commissioner of Jhelum vice Capt (retd) Samiullah Farooq, who has been directed to report to the S&GAD for training.

Ameera Baidar, currently serving at the disposal of the Chief Minister’s Office, has been appointed Deputy Commissioner of Layyah, replacing Khalid Pervaiz, who has been directed to report to the Services and General Administration Department.

Khalid Javed Goraya, currently serving at the disposal of the Director General of Lahore Development Authority (LDA), has been appointed Deputy Commissioner of Mianwali vice Sajjad Ahmed, who has been directed to report to the Services and General

Administration Department.

Capt (retd) Farrukh Attique Khan, Additional Secretary (Coordination) at the Chief Secretary’s (CS) Office, has been appointed Deputy Commissioner of Okara, while Umer Sher, Additional Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office, has been appointed Additional Secretary (Coordination) to the Chief Secretary Office.
