CHITRAL: The Elementary and Secondary Education Department organized a walk to raise awareness among people about the enrollment of children in schools.
District Education Officer Mahmood Ghaznavi, Assistant Commissioner Dr Atif Jalib and others led the walk. The participants passed through various bazaars and later gathered at primary school. They were holding banners and posters inscribed with words about the enrollment of children in schools and the importance of education.
On this occasion, the speakers said all the out-of-school children in the district should be enrolled in the schools. They said that it was the duty of every citizen to participate in the admission campaign and enroll the children.
The DEO briefed the participants on the ongoing drive for the enrollment of children. He said that the drive was launched on March 1 and would continue till April 30 to ensure enrollment of every child in the school.
The official said that parents of children were being convinced to send their kids to schools to receive education and become productive citizens of society.
