The UN Security Council approved a resolution on Gaza, demanding an immediate ceasefire, and the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages on March 25. Almost one month has passed and nothing changed on the ground. This is the value of the world body and its resolutions in the eyes of some of the member countries. One wonders how much time will lapse before this ignorance can become unforgivable and what consequence or repercussion is waiting in store for them for this violation. Stripping of UN membership perhaps or is it a stretch too far? How do we trust these countries that they would abide by international agreements when there is open flouting of resolutions/agreements going on?
