The persistent involvement of unelected or undemocratic forces in Pakistani politics continues to undermine the country’s democratic fabric. Pakistan has experienced multiple instances of such interventions in civilian affairs, leading to political instability and hindering the development of strong democratic institutions. This interference in political affairs not only erodes public trust in democratic processes but also hampers the ability of elected representatives to govern effectively.
For a stable and thriving democracy, it is imperative to uphold civilian supremacy and ensure that all other institutions remain under constitutional bounds. Transparency, accountability, and respect for democratic norms are fundamental to building a resilient democratic system that serves the interests of all Pakistanis.
