LAHORE: PMLN supremo Nawaz Sharif along with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz engaged with the public to assess the price of roti here on Tuesday.
Nawaz Sharif met with Naan Bais at Adda Plot and inquired about the price. Both leaders also sought public opinion on the new price of roti. Nawaz assured the people that he would personally monitor the price of roti.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also inspected the price list on the occasion.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed dissatisfaction after observing long queues of patients in the OPD upon her visit to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Murree, Tuesday.
She reprimanded the MS for the lengthy patient waiting time and warned him, “Rectify the hospital system; patients are suffering.” The chief minister visited various departments and wards of the hospital. The chief minister directed authorities to ensure improved patient care in the emergency department.
Furthermore, she interacted with patients and their families, inquiring about the facilities available at the hospital and provision of free medicines and medical tests. She inspected the PCU centre and assessed the treatment facilities there.
On the special directive of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir visited the residence of renowned singer Ghulam Abbas to present him with a cheque of Rs10 lakh for his treatment. He also conveyed a message of good wishes from the chief minister.
Taking notice of the recovery of the body of a three-year-old girl from a field in Pasrur, Maryam Nawaz said the perpetrator of Jannat Fatimah’s death will be brought to justice. The chief minister extended sympathies to the grieving parents and demanded a report from the Sialkot DPO on the matter. Three-year-old Jannat Fatima had been missing from home since the second Eid day.
